This policy explains how Jalousie Corp ("we", "us") handles information in the Gridscan app for iPhone, iPad and Android, the Gridscan web app, and this website.
The short version
Gridscan processes your photos entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, sell or share your photos, your PDFs or any personal information. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking.
Information we collect
We do not collect personal information through Gridscan. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software, and it does not use advertising identifiers.
Photos and camera
Gridscan only sees the photos you choose. On iPhone and Android it uses the system photo picker, which gives the app access to the photos you select and nothing else. If you use the scan feature, the app asks for camera access and uses the camera only while you are scanning. Your images and the PDFs you create stay on your device, or go wherever you choose to save or share them.
Purchases
The optional Gridscan Pro upgrade is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google processes the payment under their own privacy policies. We never receive your name, payment card or billing details. The store tells the app on your device whether Pro is unlocked so the app can turn on Pro features.
Web app and website
The Gridscan web app runs in your browser; photos you add are processed in the browser and never uploaded to us. This website is hosted by GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may record technical information such as IP addresses to operate and secure the service; see the GitHub Privacy Statement. The site stores your Gridscan settings (such as page size) in your own browser so they are remembered next time.
Children
Gridscan is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal information, we hold no data about you to access, correct, delete or sell. If you have a question about your privacy rights, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act, contact us at the address below.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date. If a future version of the app ever collects information, we will say so here before that version is released.
